Carenage

Location:
This deep, protected harbor, named by the early French inhabitants, is surely one of the most beautiful harbours in the Caribbean. As the crater of an extinct volcano, the Carenage has offer sheltered anchorage to schooners for centuries. Its natural horseshoe shape is garnished with fantastically historical structures that creep up and down the sides of its steep, surrounding hills, set off by the verdant greenery of the rainforest behind. Enjoy a replica of a statue of Jesus Christ in Genoa, Italy, which was a gift to Grenada for their help rescuing the passengers of the Bianca C, pleasant views and the cool sea breeze.
