Grenville

Grenville is second in size only to St. George’s and was named for former British Prime Minister George Grenville. Also so referred to by its French name, La Baye, the town has the largest nutmeg-processing plant on the island, which is open to tourists. Visitors can also participate in the Rainbow City Festival, which begins one week before Grenada’s National Carnival (Spice Mas). This craft and cultural fair serves up a weekend of fun and endless parties through the streets of the town, and is a great warm up to Spice Mas.
